Organized on February 22, 1933, Northern States St. Paul Service Station Credit Union began proudly and exclusively serving the employees of Northern States Power Energy Company and their families. We were founded to help our hard-working members enjoy the quality of life that you deserve.
Our Timeline of Events
- 1933: Employees of Northern States Power Energy Company come together to create Northern States St. Paul Service Station Credit Union.
- 1958: Credit Union celebrates 25 years of service.
- 1979: Legal name updated to Northern States Power St. Paul Credit Union.
- 1983: Credit Union celebrates 50 years of service.
- 2006: Power Makers Credit Union members become eligible after a merger.
- 2008: Credit Union celebrates 75 years of service.
- 2022: NSP Credit Union office moves from Xcel Energy Service Center on Rice St in Saint Paul to its current Maplewood location.
- 2023: Credit Union celebrates 90 years of service.
- 2024:
- Davids Hydro Vac and Q3 Contracting employees became eligible for membership.
- Legal name changes to NSP Credit Union
- 2026: Field of membership is expanded to include employees working in the following fields:
